CopperHeart Integral Collector Storage
The CopperHeart integral collector storage system, or ICS, combines thermal collection and storage in a single unit. The CopperHeart is designed to meet the international demand for a simple, durable and inexpensive domestic water heating system. The CopperHeart typically serves as a solar preheater to an existing electric or gas water heater, but may be used as the primary water heater in certain climates. ICS units are excellent choices for residential new construction in the U.S. Sunbelt or other mild climates that do not experience hard freeze conditions.

SunSiphon Thermosiphon Unit

Cascade Drainback System
The Cascade Drainback solar system is SunEarth's OG-300 certified drainback system. A drainback system is protected from freezing damage without the use of antifreeze. The water in the collector array and solar loop piping drains back by gravity into the CopperStor storage reservoir when the pump stops circulating. Air replaces water in the collector array and solar loop piping to prevent freeze damage when the pump is turned off.

Open Loop Systems w/ Recirc
These systems utilize a Recirc Pumping Module consisting of a differential control (GL30) with two sensors and a freeze snap switch, a Grundfos 1518SU circulating pump, a Maid-O-Mist air vent, a Kitz 3/4" brass spring check valve and a Dole thermal bleed valve as a back up to Recirc freeze protection. A Quad flo diverting valve, two roof flashings, a temperature and pressure relief valve and a tempering valve. The size of the storage tank and the size and number of the black painted collectors (SunEarth EP) and flush mount hardware is specified for each individual package:

Solar DHW Systems - Open Loop
These systems utilize a 12VDC circulator, 20W PV module and an air vent. The size of the storage tank and the size and number of collectors and flush mount hardware is specified for each individual package.

SRS - Closed Loop w/ Drainback
These closed loop systems utilize Trend Setter Drainback storage tank, Grundfos high head pump 2696BF, a differential control (GL30) with two temp. sensors.

Solaray Closed Loop w/ Heat Transfer
This closed loop system utilizes a black paint collector (Sun Earth EP40) with flush mount hardware, 80 gal Rheem Storage Tank with double wall heat exchanger, a differential controller (GL30) with two sensors, Grundfos 1542 CI pump, expansion tank, T&P valve, pressure gauge, check valve, dial thermometer, mixing valve, two roof flashings and a Quad Flow diverting valve.
