John Wiles is perhaps the most recognized name in PV education. He is the secretary for an NFPA-appointed Task Group involved with Article 690 of the National Electric Code (NEC). Over 30 submissions were accepted for the 2008 NEC and over 54 submissions for the 2011 Code. He drafted the text for Article 690 in the 2005 & 2008 Handbook. John is a Program Manager at the Institute for Energy and the Environment at NMSU and has a contract with US DOE to provide engineering support to the PV industry.
Dr. Sean White is a NABCEP Certified Installer, Adjunct Professor at Diablo Valley College (Advanced Solar), CA C-46 Solar Contractor, CA C-10 Licensed Electrician, and a presenter and speaker at various industry conferences, summits and association chapters. He has thousands of hours of teaching experience in both the US and Canada.
Marvin Hammon, PE, MSEE, Adjunct Professor at Diablo Valley College (Advanced Solar), has been involved with IEEE and PES for many years. He is past VP and past President of the PES student chapter at CPSU in San Luis Obispo, CA and has served two terms as the VC of the Oakland/East Bay PES chapter. He is also on the board of directors for the Nor Cal ASES and active in Engineers Without Borders. He is consulting on PV system design through his engineering firm Hamon Engineering with MWs of experience and is an interconnection genius.
