Petaluma, CA- California State Assembly Member Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) announced his monthly Sustainable 6 award to Solar Depot, LLC of Petaluma for their outstanding solar systems that help power thousands of homes and businesses.

“I’m honored to present this award to a company that completely embodies this award,” said Huffman. “We have just scratched the surface of this incredible technology and Solar Depot will help lead the way.”

In business for over 29 years, Solar Depot is a wholesale distributor and systems integrator of solar electric and solar thermal energy systems. Solar Depot is one of the largest and most experienced integrators of solar systems in the United States. The Company has designed and engineered thousands of solar energy systems for both residential and commercial applications.

Solar Depot began as a family-owned business, co-founded by long-time Marin County residents Anoosh and Kija Mizany, both of whom still work in the business. Solar Depot began selling solar water heating systems in the late 70’s, and continued to grow its business over the years to incorporate solar electric systems, which is now the mainstay of the business.
