OutBack Power has developed customizable, attractive integrated solutions for renewable energy systems. The components can be purchased individually as required, but are all designed to be assembled into a complete integrated system. Solar Depot can assemble these systems for you, prior to delivery to your site.

The FLEXware product line is fabricated of powder coated aluminum with stainless steel hardware.

The FLEXware 1000AC & Flexware 1000DC are designed to work with up to 4 of the Outback FX series Inverters and up to 4 MX60 charge Controllers.

The FLEXware 1000AC Includes ground bus bar and 2 DIN mounting brackets with space for up to 32 DIN type breakers (not included) order a input/output/bypass breaker assembly per inverter voltage configuration requirements. Space for a transformer is also available.

The FLEXware 1000DC include a 500A/50mV shunt, negative/ground terminal bus and an isolated positive terminal bus. The Flexware 1000DC also provides enclosure mounting space for ground fault protection, up to 4 MX60 PV charge controllers and DC load breakers.

The FLEXware 500AC and FLEXware 500DC are designed to work with one or two OutBack FX series inverters and up to 2 of the MX60 charge controllers. The FLEXware 500AC includes ground bus bar, breaker labels space for a input/output/bypass switch for 2 inverters, AC input breakers, breaker labels and room for up to 8 additional Outback AC breakers. The FLEXware 500DC comes with a 500A/50mV shunt, battery negative bus, positive bus, breaker labels. One DC breaker is used for each inverter. Positions in the enclosure allow for mounting MX60 PV and Battery breakers, array ground fault protection (DCGFP2) and breakers for DC loads.

The FLEXware 250 is a DC and/or AC breaker enclosure for one FX Series Inverter/Charger. It includes a Ground bus bar, DC breaker handle guard, breaker mounting hardware and enclosure mounting hardware. Utilizing an extremely compact design and unique mounting features, one or two FLEXware 250 enclosures can be mounted on each end of a single FX Series Inverter/Charger. The FLEXware 250 enclosure is constructed of powder-coated aluminum and has been ETL listed. It provides breaker spaces for battery, PV array or PV GFP breakers and mounting locations for AC GFCI outlet, AC breakers and an Input-Output-Bypass Assembly.
Holds up to eight 1 to 80 Amp, one 175 or 250 Amp panel mount breaker and a GFCI AC outlet (not included). It does not use the DCA or ACA for connection to an FX Series Inverter/Charger or a DC current shunt.

The Flexware Mounting Plate and hardware used for mounting one or two FX series inverters and FLEXware 500AC and 500DC enclosures. 2 Mounting plates are used for FLEXware 1000 assemblies of up to 4 inverters and the FLEXware 1000AC and 1000DC.

Accessories:
The FLEXnetDC is an advanced multi channel monitoring system with integrated relay that can be configured to control an engine generator. The unit fits in a DC breaker space and provides multiple LED’s that indicate battery state of charge. The unit interfaces through a port on the hub to display lots of information about current and historical system performance.

FLEXware Surge Protectors provide multiple levels of protection designed specifically for the OutBack inverters. The thermally fused MOV’s provide protection for 2 AC and one DC circuit at a level of 2500 joules. The surge protection option is required for Grid-Tied applications (GTFX3648).


SINE WAVE INVERTERS
The OutBack FX series of inverters are modular sine wave inverter/chargers, which can be used for both small and large power systems. Each OutBack inverter/charger module is a complete power conversion system - DC to AC inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch. Additional inverter/chargers can be connected at any time in either parallel (120 VAC), series (120/240 VAC), or even three-phase (120Y208 VAC) configurations, allowing the system to be tailored to the specific power requirements of the application, both at the time of the installation and in the future.

The inverters are available sealed for greater corrosion resistance or vented for higher continuous power ratings. FX and VFX models are for use in off-grid systems and the GTFX models are designed for use in grid-tied solar systems, which will also provide backup power upon utility grid failure. Output power ratings are continuous at 25 Deg C. Built-in AC source chargers are rated at 55 Amps for the 24V and 30 amps for the 48V unit. Up to eight FX inverters can be connected together to provide up to 20 kW of continuous power conversion capacity. The FX inverters can be used in high ambient applications up to 60 Deg C with reduced output ratings. They are designed to operate in a coordinated system with the other OutBack products i.e. the PSDC, PSAC and PSR enclosures as well as the MX60 MPPT charge controllers and MATE system controller and display. OUTBACK PSPV
OUTBACK PSPV is designed to provide NEC code compliant overcurrent protection and interconnection of multiple PV panels or subarrays into one or more PV arrays for connection to charge controllers or inverter systems. This array combiner box holds up to 12 Hydrolic-Magnetic type snap-in DIN rail mounted Breakers or 6 High Voltage (600V) Fuse Holders. For use with 12, 24 or 48VDC systems with the breakers or up to 600VDC with the fuse holders. Breakers are available in 6A, 10A and 15A sizes and need to be ordered separately. The outputs can be configured with dual positive busbars for two PV output circuits. Eight 1/2” knockouts on the bottom, back and each side and enough space provided on the bottom to allow up to a 2” conduit punch. Dimensions 10” x 4” x 4” weight 6lbs. 10 year warranty on the breakers.

OUTBACK MX60
OUTBACK MX60 is the highest output listed Max Power Point Tracking PV Charge Controller available. Allows configuration of an array to any voltage below 125 Voc (volts open circuit) and for an output voltage from 12 to 60 volts nominal. All the settings are adjustable allowing for use with any battery type. Four line 80 character backlit LCD display is used for programming and monitoring the charge system. The display shows: PV Voltage, Battery Voltage, Amps In, Amps Out, Watts and Cumulative KWH. The Built-in auxillary output control sytem can be used to control a secondary control circuit, relay or contactor: ie diversion or load control (low battery disconnect). Efficiency is in the high 90’s. Standby power consumption is less than 1 watt typical. With the MATE and HUB, up to 8 MX60’s can be monitored remotely. NEMA 1 enclosure. Dimensions 14.5”H x 5.75”W x 5.75”D. Weight is 12 lbs. Limited 2 year warranty.

OUTBACK MATE
OUTBACK MATE is a complete system controller and display for OutBack Power Systems. It is used to control, adjust settings and monitor all FX inverters and MX60 controllers to which it is attached (up to ten devices). The display is a 4-Line Backlit LCD display with 80 alphanumeric characters so that multiple measurements can be displayed in an easy to read configuration. The HUB accessory is used as a communication manager and is a vailable in a 4 or 10 device version. All of the device settings are kept in non-volatile memory. A real time clock / calendar allows for time specific control settings. An opto-isolated RS232 Port with a DB9 jack for attachment to a PC serial port. Third party software is in development to allow datalogging and system performance graphing. Includes 50’ CAT5 cable with RJ45 connectors. Dimensions 5.75”H x 4.25”W x 2”D. Weight is 1 lb.
