Morningstar TriStar MPPT Charge Controller

Morningstar’s TriStar MPPT solar controller with TrakStar Technology™ is an advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) battery charger for off-grid photovoltaic (PV) systems up to 3kW. The controller provides the industry’s highest peak efficiency of 99% and significantly less power loss compared to other MPPT controllers.

The TriStar MPPT features a smart tracking algorithm that maximizes the energy harvest from the PV by rapidly finding the solar array peak power point with extremely fast sweeping of the entire I-V curve. This product is the first PV controller to include on-board Ethernet for a fully web-enabled interface and includes up to 200 days ofdata logging.

Morningstar SunSaver MPPT

Morningstar's SunSaver MPPT solar controller with TrakStar Technology is an advanced maximum power point tracking (MPPT) battery charger for off-grid PV systems. Maximizes energy harvest with peak efficiency of 97.5%. Allows the use of high voltage PV modules including thin films. Converts 36V or 24V solar to 12V battery charging. Morningstar TriStar

Three-function controller operates in one of the following 3 functions: As a 4-stage solar battery charge controller, load controller or diversion controller. Available in 45A or 60A versions and can be configured for 12, 24 or 48V battery banks. Incorporates PWM circuitry, fully protected against short circuit, reverse polarity, overcurrent, high temperature and overload. Remote temp comp sensor option fine tunes voltage settings. Dip switch provides user with 7 different digital presets and allows custom settings via RS232 access. 3 LED's indicate status, faults and alarms. Optional meters for remote or on-unit mounting provide extensive system and controller information. Terminals accept #2 AWG stranded wire. Wiring box has knockouts for 1" and 1 1/4". These regulators incorporate PWM circuitry, auto-configure for 12 or 24V, electronic disconnects for short circuit, reverse polarity and high voltage, ambient temp. comp., sealed & flooded battery profiles, current compensated LVD, LED's for state of charge, charging, and battery type. Eurostyle terminals accept #8 AWG stranded wire. "M" models include a 3 digit LCD display for voltage, charge and load amps as well as a manual disconnect from loads and array. Morningstar SunLight

Charge control features are the same as the SunSaver-10 with the addition of a lighting controller for up to 10 amps of DC lighting. Morningstar SunKeeper
