designed to provide enough clean energy to supply the electricity
needs of its new 153,000-square foot facility featuring 670
drive up storage units. By offsetting its electricity bill with
clean power generated by the solar systems, Acorn Storage will
be able to pass on its significant energy savings to its
customers for years to come, as well as distinguish itself from
other business by being green.

Company: Frog's Leap Winery
Location: Napa, CA
System Size: 178.5kW-DC

Frog's Leap Winery has always held environmental preservation
and land stewardship as its core values. In February 2005,
this winery furthered its commitment to sustainability and
reduced its electricity bill considerably when it installed
a solar electric system on its property, designed to provide
clean power to meet majority of the winery's electricity needs.
The winery went from purchasing 260,000 kWh of electric
annually from the utility prior to installing the solar system,
to only purchasing a mere 1,000 kWh from the utility after a
year of the solar system's operation.

Company: Mt. Tam Racquet Club & Sports Center

The Mt. Tam Racquet Club installed a solar electric system
that was designed to reduce the Club's annual electric
bill by over 80%. This sports and fitness facility has a
high energy load that was prime for solar, featuring 13
tennis courts an indoor and outdoor swimming pool,
basketball court, aerobics studios, and cardio exercise
machine arena. The club's annual electric bill went from
$60,000 to less than $5,000 a year with the use of this
solar electric power system.

This 3 acre ground mount system was one of the first of
its kind in the world. This wastewater treatment plant
treats approximately 1.2 billion gallons of wastewater
annually. This produces roughly 80% of the Sewage
Commissions’ electrical needs.
