Solar Depot is a wholesale distributor and systems integrator of solar electric and solar thermal systems. For 29 years, Solar Depot has been designing and supplying solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, making Solar Depot among the largest and most experienced solar integrators in the United States.

Solar Depot has designed and supplied thousands of solar systems for various applications. Our customers include the Federal Government, NASA, various State governments, universities and schools, municipal utilities, as well as the private sector.

In 2007, Solar Depot was acquired by ITOCHU International, Inc. (www.itochu.com). As a diverse global trading company, ITOCHU brings enhanced resources and a global business perspective to Solar Depot to enable its growth and expanded role in the solar market for the coming years. EXPERIENCE

Solar Depot’s team of engineers and solar specialists include some of the most experienced professionals in the solar industry. We have experience designing virtually every kind of solar electric system; from a standard residential utility-connected system, to an off-grid home system with battery back-up, to a large, multi-phase commercial project.

Our team offers a complete range of energy solutions, from initial consultation and site visits, to custom design and installation. Solar Depot also has a network of authorized solar installers across the country that has many years of experience in the industry.

Solar Depot also has a training program for contractors to assist them in entering the solar field. Since 1999, Solar Depot has trained over 3,000 contractors in solar. Several of the most successful solar installers today are graduates of Solar Depot’s training program.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Solar Depot is a proud member of the California Solar Energy Industry Association (CALSEIA), The American Solar Energy Society (ASES), the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA), and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals (APSP). Solar Depot’s President serves on the CALSEIA Board of Directors, and is a past President of CALSEIA.

FACILITIES

Solar Depot’s Corporate Headquarters is located in Petaluma, California. Our staff includes a team of engineers and technicians with years of experience in system design, integration, installation and diagnostics. Solar Depot also operates two other full service facilities in Sacramento, CA, and Corona in Southern California.
